History of AMPLET Ham Club (JH1YTU)

The Snoopy Club (Amateur Radio Club) was originally established by class mates of Kaisei Junior High School, who are YAMADA Akira (JH1XMM), SASHIDA Akio (JR1MTF), KATAYAMA Kazuhiko (JR1MUT), ISHIKAWA Masakazu (JE1BME), NEBIYA Hideyuki (JE1BQE) SAKURAI Yoichi (JE1FZD), SUZUKI Shuji (JE1IXC), TAKEMURA Akio (JE1SUF), and TAMURA Masaki (JF1FZI), and received callsign JH1YTU at the QTH of JE1BQE in Taito-ku, Tokyo on August 20th, 1971. This Club was operated by membership fee.

AMPLET, Inc., which company owned by NEBIYA Hideyuki (JE1BQE), has been keeping the license of the Snoopy Club JH1YTU since September 9th, 1987. And this Club was operated by the budget of AMPLET, Inc.

The Snoopy Club was made an affiliate of AMPLET Communication Laboratory in Taito-ku, Tokyo, which is a subsidiary of AMPLET, Inc., on November 6, 2019, The name of this club has changed from the Snoopy Club for AMPLET Ham Club on this day, but the callsign JH1YTU was still remained.
